bases. The Lite license gives you the right to use Enterprise
Service Manager to be installed on one computer and to manage only
up to 100 computers . If you wish to use Enterprise
Service Manager to
manage more computers, you need to purchase the appropriate
licenses for the number of clients
For example, if you wish to scan
- up to 100 computers, you need to purchase
the Lite
license ($139)
- up to 250 computers within the one geographical location
- you need to purchase the Classic license ($249) and
use Enterprise Service Manager for all the computers in your network
- more than 250 computers within the one geographical
location, purchase the Pro license ($499) and
you won't pay for the extra licenses!

Q: I bought a license for
Enterprise
Service Manager.
Do I need to buy another one with each upgrade or new release?
A: No. When you purchase a license (any kind) for
Enterprise Service Manager, you automatically purchase all future releases
and updates that will be released within 1 year from the date of
purchase. It means that during one year you can download and
install the latest versions of the software from our site, and
the activation key that you received from us will work with the
latest product version
If you don't want to purchase an upgrade, you can use the
program forever; it will never expire, but you won't be able to
use the latest version with new features
Q:
I bought a license for Enterprise
Service Manager. Do I need to buy another one to install it in another
computer?
A: Yes. To install Enterprise Service Manager in another computer,
you should buy a separate license for each computer. Or you can
buy an Additional ESM Admin License to be used on the new
computer. If you purchased the Classic License, you can install
the software into 2 computers and for extra computers, you
should purchase an Additional ESM Admin License.
The Pro License has no limit in the number of computers into
which you can install the ESM.
Q: Can I install
Enterprise Service Manager
under Windows NT/2000/XP if I don't have administrative
privileges?
A: No. To correctly install Enterprise Service Manager under
Windows NT/2000/XP you must
have administrative privileges. If you are going to use
Enterprise Service Manager throughout your network you must have domain admin's privileges
Q: Can I install
Enterprise Service Manager
under Windows 9x/Me?
A: No. Enterprise Service Manager works on Windows NT/2000/XP
computers only
Q: How to install the Remote
Registry service for Windows 9x/Me computers?
A: To install the Remote Registry service on the Windows
9x/Me computer, follow these steps
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and
then double-click Network.
- On the Access Control tab, click User-Level Access
Control.
- Click OK.
- In Control Panel, double-click Network.
- Click Add, click Service, click Add, and then click Have
Disk.
- In the Copy Manufacturer's Files From box, type the path
Admin\Nettools\RemoteReg folder on your Windows 95 CD-ROM,
or Tools\Reskit\Netadmin\Remotereg on your Windows 98
CD-ROM, and then click OK.
- Restart your computer
Please note that Windows Millennium Edition does not include
the Remote Registry service. However, you can install this
service on the Windows Me computer using files from the Windows
98 CD-ROM

Q: Why Iam not able to connect to
Windows XP Home Edition computers?
A: Windows XP Home Edition has limited features like
remote access, security, performance, manageability and

Q: What is the Admin Limit?
A: The Admin limit is the number of computers into which
you can install the ESM.
